The Matanuska Susitna Valley is surrounded with views of the Chugach and Talkeetna mountains. Located in South Central Alaska, and within driving distance to Anchorage, Wasilla and Palmer still have that the feel of a small town and both are wonderful places to live.

Wasilla is packed with interesting history from the gold rush days the Iditarod, and more. A great place to visit is the Dorothy Saxton Museum, located in Wasilla.
Wasilla is approximately 40 miles from Anchorage, is the home of the Iditarod, and minutes from Big Lake, where the Tesoro Iron Dog race begins, which is a 1000 mile snow machine race through the rugged and beautiful Alaskan terrain.
Wasilla is close to many other activities, such as festivals, a performing arts center, library, churches, a new hospital and many volunteer opportunities to keep you active.
